Biography
Jordan Abara is a lens-based artist from South London, now working between New York and Lagos. Their practice explores queer identity, diasporic belonging, and the politics of visibility through portrait photography and experimental video. Their work has been acquired by the Tate Modern and the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art.
Artist Statement
I photograph what cannot be said aloud. My subjects meet the camera with a gaze that refuses spectacle—quiet, deliberate, whole.
